Monica Clare

Monica Clare is an executive coach, consultant, mediator and trainer. She has worked with many individuals who come from a variety of backgrounds and industries at the national and international levels in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. From diplomats, politicians and civil servants, to CEOs, artists and musicians, Ms. Clare has touched many lives and influenced numerous careers as a coach and trainer. Her passion is working with people, guiding them as they develop clear visions of their goals and create the plans and strategies necessary to live the life they desire.

The mediation and coaching techniques practiced by Ms. Clare are influenced by a wide variety of mentors and teachings. Included in these are her training in Co-Active Coaching with the Coaches Training Institute, Non-violent Communication with Marshall Rosenberg in Switzerland, as well as advanced negotiation and mediation skills with Erica Fox and Kenneth Cloke at the Harvard Negotiation Insight Initiative – a part of the Program on Negotiation at the Harvard Law School Dispute Resolution Program. Ms. Clare has completed her training as a professional coach at the Coaches Training Institute and is currently in the certification process.

Currently based in Vienna, Austria, Ms. Clare has lived and worked in 8 countries on 4 continents, and has traveled extensively. She is fluent in Italian and German and is conversant in Spanish, French and Portuguese. One of the true joys of this rich journey for Ms. Clare has been discovering ways to communicate with individuals who come from different cultural mindsets.

Ms. Clare received most of her formal education in Canada, completing her undergraduate degree in Economics at the University of Western Ontario. She is a Certified Management Accountant in Ontario, Canada, and holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from York University. In addition, Ms. Clare holds a diploma in International Studies from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, Austria and studied Modern World Systems and Comparative Political Economy with California Polytechnic State University in Thailand.

Previous to her current career, Ms. Clare was an auditor with Coopers and Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) and a Financial Analyst with Rogers Cable Systems, both in Canada, and has lectured at various international educational institutions.
