What you see depends on where you stand. This phrase is a cornerstone of my philosophy about life, and a fundamental assumption underlying the work we do at Common Outlook. Intellectually, we know that a person's viewpoint or stance on an issue is determined by past experiences and the values and beliefs attached to those experiences. In reality when faced with conflict, we often forget this fundamental premise.

I have been using these concepts in my personal and work life since 1991, and have been working in this field full-time since early 1996. I have had the honour of working with world leaders in this field, and have done this work around the world. When I founded Common Outlook in February, 2000, it was with the goal of providing people with the mindsets and tools to improve the quality of their relationships both in the workplace and in their personal lives. Over the years, many people I and my team have worked with have said that the skills they learned were "life changing". There is nothing quite like getting feedback of that nature, and it makes all the hard work worthwhile, and it is what I cam committed to doing even more of in the years to come.

By nature a curious person, I have satisfied much of my curiosity about the world through travel. Since 1989, I have traveled to over 60 countries and lived in five countries on three continents. I'm a believer in life-long learning and am passionate about embracing change and personal growth. Welcome to my blog.
